What is Raku?

*********
Raku is an old traditional Japanese ceremonial process by which clay is fired in a kiln to a desired temperature
and then moved while glowing hot to a closed container with combustible materials (such as paper or sawdust) that
ignite and cause a reaction creating colors and patterns on the pottery's surface.
